Jordon Archeology Studies and Educational Cooperation Project

Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Archaeology, Tourism and Hotel Management, Al Hussein Bin Talal University aims not only to conduct the survey, study, and preservation of a variety of cultural heritage sites in southern Jordon including of World Heritage Sites, Petra, but also to develop various human resources related to the utilization of archaeological sites. In the three-year project from 2010, Kanazawa University and this department have been jointly surveying the distribution of remains in the Shoback area. After this project is over, they intend to move on to a joint excavation.
