Graduate Program in Cultural Resource Studies

This program is a post-graduate five year program, admitted as one of Program for Leading Graduate Schools by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan.

The aim of the program is to produce specialists in cultural resources management. Cultural resources include both tangible ones such as historical remains and objects as well as intangible ones such as traditional knowledge and craft technology. The cultural resources are indispensable foundation for future life of human beings, so that they must be documented, analyzed, preserved and utilized properly.

The program students will study not only the basic theoretical discussions in the class but also the various actual problems arising from the cultural resources managing fields through internship and field survey.
