On July 22, the 70th anniversary of the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History was celebrated in Tegucigalpa. At this event, Professor Seiichi Nakamura, Director of the Institute for the Study of Ancient Civilizations and Cultural Resources, was honored for his longstanding contributions to the research and conservation of cultural heritage in Honduras, including the World Cultural Heritage, Maya Site of Copan. The award was presented by Mr. Pastor, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Honduran government.
