On October 10, 2019 the visitors from Guatemala and Honduras began the day by visiting the Kanazawa Craftsman Training Center. This institute was born out of the need to have trained craftsman from Kanazawa that could work with traditional techniques in order to preserve the historical landscape of the city.
After receiving a class and touring the institute, they headed for Nagamachi in order to learn about Kaga Yuzen, the traditional technique for painting kimono from Kaga. Afterwards, they visited the Nomura Samurai house and other historical buildings and streets in the area. They finished this day´s activities by visiting Nishi Chaya, which is once of the three Geisha Districts in Kanazawa guided by the volunteer association Maido san.
